The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has again lost the speaker of the Bauchi state House of Assembly, Abdulmumini Bala Fanti, two other lawmakers and a senatorial aspirant to the opposition Peoples Redemption Party ( PRP).


Daily Trust names the lawmakers that defected to the PRP as Ibrahim Bello Katagum and Yusuf C Nuhu, who won the recent by-election for Toro federal constituency on the platform of the APC.

The report also mentioned the Bauchi South APC senatorial aspirant as Barrister Lawan Ibrahim.

Alhaji Shehu Barau Ningi, the chairman of PRP in Bauchi state, confirmed the defection of the lawmakers.

FOX NAIJA earlier reported that a businessman in Kebbi, Alhaji Mustapha Asaija, and five thousand other members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) recently left the party to join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Senator Isa Galaudu, the PDP's gubernatorial candidate, his running mate, Alhaji Abubakar Malan, its executives and many members of the opposition in the state received the businessman with his supporters at Ambursa in Birnin Kebbi local government area
